ALUMINIUM 2026 in Düsseldorf has come to an end, and for Storvik, this year’s exhibition was one of our most successful trade show participations to date. Over three busy days, our team had the opportunity to meet customers, partners, suppliers, and industry colleagues from around the world, discuss industry challenges, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

As the world’s leading trade fair for the aluminium industry, ALUMINIUM provides a unique platform for bringing together the entire value chain. For Storvik, the exhibition serves as an important arena for sharing expertise, showcasing innovations, and strengthening relationships within the international aluminium industry.

A Strong International Presence

This year, twelve Storvik representatives attended the exhibition, with colleagues travelling from Norway, Iceland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and the United States.

From our stand in Hall 6, visitors had the opportunity to meet members of our international cast products team, learn more about our latest solutions, discuss maintenance and operational challenges, and explore how smarter engineering and a lifecycle-focused approach can contribute to improved casthouse performance.

The strong interest in our products, services, and ongoing development projects resulted in a steady flow of visitors throughout the exhibition and many valuable conversations with both existing and potential customers.

Innovation and Collaboration on Display

One of the highlights of the exhibition was the presentation of Alumotion, the joint venture between Storvik and Charl-Pol. Together with Gabriel Tremblay of Charl-Pol, Storvik’s Siri Sande presented the initiative at our stand.

Alumotion has been established to develop automation and robotics solutions for the Canadian aluminium industry, with an initial focus on robotic anode assembly repair. By replacing manual processes with automated solutions, the ambition is to improve safety, productivity, and reliability in smelter operations.

The presentation generated significant interest and demonstrated the value of combining expertise across companies and markets to address common industry challenges.

International Recognition for Storvik

The exhibition also provided a memorable moment for the entire Storvik team when Siri Sande was awarded the Role Model Award at the Women With Metal Awards 2026.

The international award recognizes individuals who lead by example, inspire others, and create lasting positive change within the metals industry. The jury highlighted Siri’s long-term efforts to strengthen collaboration between industry and education, as well as her commitment to inclusion and creating opportunities for others.

While the award was presented to Siri, it also reflects the culture and values that Storvik strives to promote throughout the organization.

Looking Ahead

Trade fairs are about much more than products and technology. They create opportunities to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, gain insight into industry trends, and identify new opportunities for growth.

ALUMINIUM 2026 provided all of that and more. The engagement, discussions, and connections established during the exhibition have given us valuable momentum as we continue developing solutions for the global aluminium industry.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, attended our presentations, and took the time to meet with our team. We look forward to following up on the many conversations initiated in Düsseldorf and to continuing our work with customers and partners around the world.

See you at the next industry gathering.
